Kara came to Denver!

For those of you who don't know Kara, her and I met our 1st year at Fairhill. We co-taught because she taught 1st grade and my ESOL students were in her class.

We liked to say we were long lost best friends, and immediately clicked and were known as "the twins."

Since, she has had 2 beautiful children and stays home to be a great mom, but we are still dear friends.

Her husband, Adam, was kind enough to watch the kids for the weekend while she ventured to CO for the first time.

We saw a show at Redrocks.

Slept for a couple minutes and got up to go hiking...

Kara didn't look like a tourist at all...

Saw some elk

Made lots of people take our picture

Ate delicious peaches

Happened to be in the same place as the ProCycle Challenge in Estes Park and the next day in Denver

Slept a couple more minutes and got up to bike around Denver

Found the ProCycle Challenge on its next stop

Entered a push-up challenge to win a Kindle, where Kara was in 1st for 3 hours

But was unfortunately beat out by a 13 year old...

And Katie did not make it up on the board at all...

But did find a different, cooler board!

And lastly, proved that 2 people can in fact fit in The Shoebox!

Thank you for coming, Kara! :)
