Languages.

A really cool part about TASIS is how many languages are brought together.

About 25 actually.

But to be social with each other, and to communicate with everyone, the only common language is English.

It's really cool to watch them try to make friends in English.

And when I was in Zurich, this happened...

Katie: Speaks only English.

Student A: Speaks Italian, and a little bit of English.

Student B: Speaks German and Italian, but no English.

Museum Lady: Speaks only German.

To get a message from Katie to Museum Lady:

Katie says message to Student A in English. Student A says message to Student B in Italian. Student B says message to Museum Lady in German.

How bout that for a game of Telephone?
